Our Visit to Burlington Vermont
We went to Burlington after we left La Prairie in the Province of Quebec. We took the highway 15 going to New-York when we reached the border it became the interstate 87, we got out of the interstate highway. We then took a couple of roads and bridges that cross the Lake Champlain and Missisquoi National Refuge. We visited the port of the town of the largest city in the state of Vermont, Burlington population around 40 000. We had an excellent lunch downtown. We went to the famous Church Street, called that way because at the end of the street we see the First Unitarian Church, built in 1816. There are a lot of beautiful cafes and stores and the street is closed to cars. I also looked for Burton merchandise, since the Burton factory is located in town. I bought an awesome black sweater. The girls looked for books .We loved this town and we truly thought this was one of the finest towns in America.
Later on, we made our way down Vermont ,surrounded by the Adirondacks Mountains, towards Massachusetts.
