Our Visit to the Giraffe Center in Nairobi

We went to the Giraffe center, also known as The African Fund for Endangered Wildlife Kenya (A.F.E.W Kenya Ltd, which is about 20 minutes away from downtown Nairobi. We paid 700 ksh to get in (2010). The big attraction is the Rothschild Giraffes a rare sub-specie.
I think it'a bit expansive for what you get. The elephant orphanage is more interesting and much cheaper. The fun part of this facility is you get to feed the girafes. I tried over and over to hold food in my mouth and have the girafes to eat it.

There is also a place where you can go for a a nature walk and if you are lucky you can get close to the tallest animal on earth you can also do some bird-viewing.
You can also listen toa lecture on conservation, watch wildlife films and more.
