We came to Ventimiglia because we did not want to stay in Nice because the rooms were more expansive in France. We arrived by the Via Aurelia , the snaky narrow road that follows the sea. We fought our way through a jungle of scooters. They ride lawlessly everywhere. One of them even fell partly under my cars. I heard a bang one time, I thought that he had hit my rental car. I started to yell but he said it was not him and pointed to the electrical bus. We stayed at the hotel Calypso a two star establishment near a main park. The lobby was great the rooms were a bit old but very clean. I burned my transformer while ironing. We went to eat some excellent seafood, watch sensational youg boys playing soccer in the square, musicians and seniors dancing. The street facing the beach was very lively. We decided to take also a swim. The beach was a bit rocky. Overall It was a great evening.
